I worried frequently about Elsie retiring. What about the money to fund the holidays? No, seriously, I was worried about her becoming bored as I spent a lot of time playing golf. I need not have worried. In addition to her weekly luncheon dates with Rita and Pam she met Lesley fortnightly for lunch and a gossip. Additionally, Elsie enrolled at the Arena recreation centre, Camberley where she attended various keep fit activities on three or more mornings a week. It was at these activities she became friends with Jennie, Izzie, Audrey, Keep Fit Carol, Red Carol, Gill, Pat, Anne, Marlene, Blonde Barbara, Round the World Barbara, Marlene and Jan. A wonderful circle of pals with whom she enjoyed many laughs and great fun.
