One of Elsie's final requests was that  her closest everyday friends should be treated to a champagne afternoon tea soon after her funeral. This was her way of saying thank you for their close friendship over the years and continued support and kindness throughout her illness. The date and venue were chosen  and all  attended at the Mandolay Hotel, Guildford on Friday 17th April. The photographic evidence is below.
